BD is seeking an experienced, energetic and commercially driven National Sales Manager – Urology to lead and develop our sales organisation across Australia and New Zealand. In this high‑visibility leadership role, you’ll steer strategy, elevate capability, strengthen customer partnerships, and drive growth across a competitive and clinically demanding portfolio.
If you’re a successful sales professional with 2-3+ years of sales leadership, ideally in Urology or Surgical Devices and you thrive in fast‑paced, high‑stakes environments, this is your opportunity to drive national impact in a portfolio that directly improves patient outcomes.
Your Day‑to‑Day
As National Sales Manager, you will lead a talented team of Territory Managers and drive execution across hospitals, surgeons, procurement leaders and key clinical decision‑makers.
Your day will include:
- Leading, coaching and developing a high‑performing national sales team
- Building and executing national strategies to deliver revenue, margin and market share growth
- Supporting field teams with joint customer visits, complex negotiations and strategic account planning
- Strengthening customer relationships across Urology departments, theatres, procurement and key hospital stakeholders
- Partnering with Marketing, Clinical, Sales Operations and Supply Chain to drive aligned execution
- Monitoring performance, pipelines and forecasting accuracy via SFDC
- Providing strategic insights to ANZ leadership on market trends and competitive activity
- Driving sales capability, culture, accountability and continuous improvement
- Representing BD at major conferences, workshops and industry events
This is a role for someone who loves leading from the front while building capability and culture across a national team.
About You
You’re a proven commercial leader with a track record of success - both personally as a sales rep and as a people manager. You lead with passion, clarity and purpose, and you know how to build high‑performing, motivated teams.
You’ll bring:
- Experience as a successful medical device sales rep
- 2-3+ years’ experience managing sales teams (state or national)
- Background in Urology, Surgical Devices or Theatre environments (highly desirable)
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to develop winning strategies
- Excellent coaching, communication and stakeholder‑management skills
- Confidence engaging surgeons, theatre teams and hospital procurement
- Experience managing pipelines, forecasts and complex deals
- Ability to inspire teams, lift capability and drive accountability
- A growth mindset and passion for elevating performance
