Job Description

About the Role

  • The Sales Representative BD Biosciences (BDB) holds a key position within the Czech and Polish BDB team. Within this role, the Sales Representative facilitates important funding opportunities and builds customer relationships. This covers European funding options (including Recovery funds, Horizon), specialized hospital internal funding, and more. The Sales Representative also handles a designated customer group across the Czech Republic. This role acts as the main liaison for customer departments across all categories represented by BDB. The objective of the Sales Representative is well-rounded customer development focusing on growth and profitability. You are encouraged to collaborate closely with the respective Key Account Manager and assume a strategic role in handling major opportunities within the sales channel vertical. The success of this role will depend largely on your ability to sustain essential relationships and direct the completion of important phases within the sales process.
  • We offer a fixed-term contract till July 2027.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively engage existing and new customers account to develop and maintain strategic relationships
  • Monitor customer happiness
  • Align selling efforts to customers’ goals
  • Consolidate related data on customer happiness to drive better solutioning and recommendations
  • Manage customer cluster end-to-end from segmentation to sales target setting to sales execution planning according to agreed Key Driver Goals (KDGs)
  • Cross-functional alignment with customer care organization, commercial excellence as well as pricing roles to customer needs
  • Work collaboratively with the Team Leader Czechia to develop sales strategies that facilitate the development of the flow cytometry market in Czech Republic
  • Direct all elements of the sales cycle within the sales funnel, involving the formulation of sales forecasts and the assessment of customer segment performance
  • Refine and implement sales improvement initiatives at the country level in collaboration with Business Excellence
  • Effectively apply data to guide strategic decision making on sales pursuits. Offer valuable insights on developing sales strategies to better meet customer needs by prioritising a comprehensive solution selling.
  • Accountable for the regular order-taking, fulfilment, and delivery for assigned accounts
  • Successful attainment of account specific benchmarks (e.g., improvement in sales margins, successful order fulfillment and deliveries, etc.)
  • Leverage on the BD Way of Selling to ensure engaging customers in a standardized way
  • Offer important perspectives on sales forecasts to contribute to the overall demand planning and Sales processes
  • Analyse sales and industry trends and make appropriate recommendations to the KAM or those with equivalent experience. This helps ensure long-range planning needs for one’s area of responsibility are met.
  • Provision of accurate and timely forecast inputs and analysis reports that allow for long-range planning by the leadership team (e.g., KAM or equivalent experience)

About you

  • The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience and knowledge of the clinical and life sciences markets coupled with strong business insight.
  • Master’s Degree in the field of Business/Marketing or Biological/ Medical Sciences/ Medical technology is required, a Ph.D. degree would be considered a strong asset
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in sales or accounts management, ideally within a multinational pharmaceutical or healthcare company. Alternatively, a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Research or Clinical laboratory is acceptable.
  • Willingness to travel in accordance to business requirements
  • Self-motivated individual who is customer-focused and hard-working
  • Determined, seeks continuous improvement and proactively thinks ahead
  • Good command of Czech and English language (i.e., written and spoken)
