The Lead Integration Engineer has experience with core BD products and related interfaces. Responsible for providing implementation and support of BD integration projects for pharmacy, materialsmanagementand related healthcare systems to BD customers. The Lead Integration Engineeris responsible fordesignandvalidation ofscoped interfaces to meet project timelines andestablishedrevenueobjectives.

Duration of Employment:Thispositionhas an anticipated end date of June 30, 2028.  If at the end of that period you have not been offered or have not accepted another position within BD, your employment will beterminated, and you will not be eligible for severance per Company policy or plan.

Communication

• Participate inmeetings /conference calls with customers tofacilitateinterface design, training, and validation

• Establish rapport with customers(internal & external)that is conducive to along termbusiness relationships

• Provideadvancedteam support andin-depthproduct information onBDproducts as assigned by manager (team product lead)

• Must be able tointeract withcustomerteams, gain consensus withinteamsanddeliverconcise and consistentcommunication 

• Consult Senior Integration Engineers as appropriate

Technical

• Demonstrateknowledge ofBD products and how they integrate with customersystems. Demonstrate understanding of core BD products, hospital informationsystemsand system validation 

• Ability to interact withdiverse cross-functionalteams with a focus on medium to large health care organization

• Activelyparticipatein all trainingactivitiesoutlined byestablishedIntegration Engineer Learning Path

• Participate in product/version upgrade integration validation

• Must be detail oriented,anddemonstratetheability to multitask and implementprojectsconsistent withestablished company and customerobjectives

• Demonstrate problemsolving, troubleshooting,and system consultation skillsrelatedtoBD product integration, best practiceconsiderationsand standardization

• Act as teamliaisonfor BD products / host systems as assigned by manager

• Expected tomeet on call duties as scheduled

Administrative

• Maintainaccurateaccount backups anddocumentation

• Work independently 

• Comply withall BD and Integration Engineer Policies and Procedures

• Accurate completion of project documentation

• Monitor and supply updates on escalated critical issues 

• Possess excellent organizational skills with the flexibility to readily adapt to change

• Assist MMS with Field Action execution, including customer notifications, obtaining customer acknowledgment forms, and follow-ups with customers to answer questions.  

• Ensure all role related project records areaccurateand up to date 

• Ensuring compliance with all relevant BD policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements 

• Supports BD product teams to ensure the successful completion of their remediation projects

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent education and work experience.

• Knowledge of HIS integration systems, BDproductsand hospital workflow. Three or more years inhealthcareenvironment with technical (systems) involvement and computerized system applications with knowledge of HL7 or EDI standards. Experience with integrated delivery networks/multi-facility health systemsrequired. Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Excel, SharePoint, Word,Outlookand PowerPoint.

• Suggested certifications include:

HL7 

MCSE

HIPAA

Interface Engine (ex.eGate, Cloverleaf, Mirth, etc.)

• Must provide proof of andmaintaincurrent immunizations and obtainadditionalimmunizations appropriate for and required by the facility which enables access to customer sites to perform essential job functions.

• Mustmaintaina current driver’s license and meet BD’s auto safety requirements.

• Minimum overnight travelrequiredat times. Position requires flexible working hours, includingnights and weekends. Ability to work independently from a home office. 

• Training will be conducted during daytime hours, and the role will start on daytime shifts but may transition to80% nightshifts as needed.
