Their role requires them to operate machinery, ensure the correct settings and materials are used, and quality control checks are carried out.
Their main duties and responsibilities include:
- Setting up, operating and troubleshooting injection molding machines
- Monitoring the machines during production, checking for any abnormalities
- Maintaining a record of machine settings and shot size
- Inspecting the quality of finished products to ensure they meet specific standards
- Performing routine machine maintenance and cleaning
- Adjusting machine settings to optimize production speed and quality
- Reporting any machine or production issues promptly
- Adhering to all safety and health regulations in the manufacturing environment
- Assisting in packing and shipping of the final products
- Ordering machine parts and supplies as needed
