Job Summary:

The Solution Integration Specialist plays a pivotal role in enabling sales success by providing technical expertise to design and implement integrated microbiology solutions. This position ensures seamless solution delivery that drives commercial and operational excellence while enhancing customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include evaluating diagnostic workflows, integrating laboratory information systems (LIS), and addressing connectivity requirements to deliver optimized solutions aligned with sales strategies and operational efficiency. Additionally, the role supports analytics adoption, benchmarking initiatives, and demo site configuration to effectively showcase solution capabilities.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate excellent communication and presentation abilities, along with interpersonal skills. To be successful in this role the incumbent will have strong strategic planning and organizational skills and the abilities to develop and sustain strong customer relationships and understand, interpret and communicate complex subject matter.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Conduct technical assessments of current diagnostic data workflows, LIS capabilities, and connectivity infrastructure to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement  

  • Perform complexity assessments, configuration planning, layout design, workflow optimization, and connectivity analysis for laboratory environments.

  • Develop and validate technical value offers in partnership with the healthcare consultants and sales team, ensuring alignment with customer needs and organizational standards.

  • Provide expertise in LIS data integration, ensuring seamless connectivity and interoperability between diagnostic systems and information platforms.

  • Collaborate with the Health Care Consultant, Solution Design team, and sales teams to deliver the technical value offer assessment, including complexity assessment, layout, workflow, connectivity, and laboratory design with a focus on LIS integration. 

  • Deliver key solution design outputs, including workflow proposals, dataflow diagrams, and LIS interface descriptions.

  • Work closely with solution design teams, project managers, informatics, and applications delivery team to ensure seamless transition from sales to implementation.

  • Provide expert support and coaching to internal and external customers, particularly in relation to LIS. 

  • Develop standard, actionable dashboards that customers can use for operational insights and performance benchmarking

  • Drive customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality solutions and maintaining strong relationships, with an emphasis on LIS performance and data integration

  • Assess LIS capabilities related to patient safety measures and efficiency, ensuring compliance and best practices.

  • Support customers in leveraging the company’s analytics platform and benchmarking tools for improved decision-making.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by applying best practices in solution design, discipline, and rigor.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • With at least 3 years of experience in Microbiology/ Molecular clinical diagnostic environments. With at least 2 years designing and executing implementation of customized automated laboratory solutions.

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or, with equivalent experience

  • Proven experience in solution design and customer engagement within the healthcare or microbiology/molecular industry, with a focus on LIS. 

  • Experience in Project Management.

  • Strong technical clinical laboratory product knowledge and understanding of clinical laboratory workflows.

  • Strong technical knowledge of LIS, connectivity standards, middleware, and 3rd party instrumentation.

  • Proficiency in clinical laboratory and healthcare regulations.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (EXCEL, PowerPoint, Word, Visio)

  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 40% (domestically)

  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt Certification or Lean Agent Certification  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Medical Laboratory Scientist and Healthcare consulting experience

  • Experience in capital sales

  • Experience with data analytic tools (i.e. PowerBI) and dashboard development
