Key Responsibilities:

  • Pricing Governance & Reporting:  Build, launch, and manage pricing governance processes and tools, including a management approval matrix (MAM) for pricing decisions, exception request workflow, and standardized financial models/templates for evaluating pricing decisions like rebates or discounts.  Track and report key pricing performance metrics, including price/volume performance, profitability, average selling prices, portfolio mix, discount/rebate effectiveness, exception request impact, etc.  Partner closely with the Sr. Director of CIO, Global Pricing, and Finance on these deliverables.

  • Competitive Pricing Intelligence:   In partnership with the broader CIO team, develop and maintain competitor a SKU-level price and volume database for monitoring and reporting market dynamics and to inform pricing recommendations.
  • Offer Development Support & Analytics:  Partner with the Strategic Accounts to build contracting approaches that balance customer needs, competitive positioning, and financial objectives.  Partner with U.S. Revenue Operations and other stakeholders to model data-driven and accurate offer analyses and recommendations for contract renewals, RFPs, mid-cycle pricing decisions, etc.
  • Pricing Market Research:  Lead or support pricing-focused market research to evaluate willingness to pay, price sensitivity, value drivers, and competitive positioning.
  • Continuous Improvement:  Drive efficiency, automation, and analytical rigor in pricing processes while maintaining data integrity and quality.  Explore opportunities to apply advanced analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, where appropriate.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:  Partner with US and Global SM Marketing, US CIO, Global Pricing, Strategic Accounts, Finance, Sales, US Revenue Operations, Supply Chain, other business units, etc., to align pricing practices, share best practices, and enable consistent execution.
