As a result of the combination of the BD Biosciences and Diagnostic Solutions business with Waters Corporation (NYSE: WAT), by applying to this role, you will be applying for a position with Waters. Job Description

Key Responsibilities:


1. Commercial Excellence Leadership

  • Develop and execute a multi‑year Commercial Excellence roadmap focused on sales productivity, forecasting accuracy, and scalable commercial processes, with specific focus on accelerating revenue growth and SGM% improvement.
  • Oversee deployment and continuous improvement of CRM, sales analytics, and digital selling tools for Japan and APAC.
  • Drive improvements in sales force effectiveness, including assisting sales management in territory design, quota setting, and account planning methodologies
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing leaders to create standardized KPIs and dashboards that enable data‑driven performance management, especially for annual budget achievement and execution of Marketing initiatives.
  • Drive a bottoms-up accountability culture and rhythm through regular funnel reviews and follow-up on action items by the sales force.

2. Corporate Planning & Strategic Alignment

  • Manage the annual and mid‑term strategic planning process, collaborating with cross‑functional leaders to define commercial strategies to accelerate top line growth and SGM improvement.
  • Work with Marketing to conduct market, competitive, and financial analyses to guide strategic decisions.
  • Support executive leadership with scenario modeling, long‑range forecasting, and resource allocation recommendations.
  • Consolidate the mid to long range strategy, including investment and resource requirements, target market segments, and changes as needed in our organization and processes.
  • Facilitate alignment of operational plans (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain) with corporate strategy.

3. Business Performance Management

  • Work with Business Unit director to create a culture of urgency and accountability within the sales and marketing organizations
  • Highlight performance issues to sales management and assist in driving regular performance improvement plan reviews for low performers.
  • Run the Monthly Operations Review process focusing on Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain activities toward meeting or exceeding monthly and quarterly budget commitments.


Qualifications:


1. Required

  • BA degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in commercial excellence, sales operations, corporate strategy, management consulting, or related planning roles.
  • Professional English proficiency and native Japanese competency.
  • Demonstrated success driving commercial performance in medical products market.
  • Strong analytical capability with proficiency in financial modeling and analytics.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and planning systems.
  • Experience working in a complex, matrixed global organization.
  • Excellent communication, executive presentation, and stakeholder‑management skills.

2. Preferred

  • MBA or other advanced degree.
  • Clinical experience or expertise in hospital diagnostic or infection control market.
  • Proven track record leading change initiatives across regions or business units.
