About the role
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing the sales of Diagnostic Systems (DS) Business Unit. They will develop as well as execute the commercial plans to achieve the set targets.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Identifying new business opportunities - researching market trends, analyzing competition, and identifying potential markets and partnerships that align with the business unit objectives.
- Strategic planning and execution - developing and implementing strategies that align with the company's long-term goals. This includes setting targets, identifying key performance indicators and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure alignment and progress.
- Building and maintaining relationships - networking extensively to identify potential clients and distributors, attending events, and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients to ensure sustained business growth.
- Negotiation and deal closure - presenting BD products, addressing objections, and negotiating terms to close deals effectively.
- Revenue growth - developing strategies to increase revenue, expand market presence, and align business goals with long-term success.
- Develop and coordinate annual budgets, strategic reviews, and forecasts in liaison with the business unit guidelines and ensure budget targets are adhered to accordingly.
- Drive commercial excellence via Sales force effectiveness tools.
- Actively look for new opportunities, suggest action steps to capitalize on opportunities, effectively implement steps to ensure realization of opportunities; to continuously strive for achievement of stretch targets.
About you
- Primary degree in healthcare, medical or biomedical science.
- Prior sales experience in a healthcare background
- Previous experience in diagnostic field is a nice to have.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Customer-centric with strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
- Team player
