Job Description Summary:
The Project Manager/Engineer in Industrialization & Development is responsible for designing, optimizing and scaling manufacturing processes and systems to improve productivity, reduce waste, and ensure high-quality standards. This role bridges engineering, operations and product development, focusing on transitioning new products from design (or change) to full-scale production.
Responsibilities:
Leads the overall planning, and execution of project related activities and provides work direction to extended team members within the ISC (Integrated Supply Chain) organization. Makes sure that deliverables met in time.
Represents ISC in Portfolio Core Team meetings
Estimates resource requirements and identifies resources in conjunction with functional managers.
Ensures that manufacturability, efficiency (cost competitiveness) and quality are maximized within change and new development projects.
Applies and focusses on:Design for manufacturing
Implementation of new/state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies, automation solutions and production equipment
Work plans/standards, layouts and time studies
FMEA, risk analyses and process validations
Facilitates and influences decision-making within the Core Team in the sense of the ISC organization and communicates product and project progress back to the ISC organization
Plans and implements industrialization projects for new products and processes
Acts as an interface between development (R&D), platform, production, quality, purchasing and if needed suppliers
Requirements:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Technology or a comparable field. Business administration knowledge is a strong plus.
Initial professional experience in Project Management, Industrial Engineering or Production planning
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and project management
Experience with CAD systems and ERP software (e.g., Sage)
Strong communication skills and ability to work across disciplines
Analytical thinking and a structured approach to work
Initiative and a strong sense of responsibility
Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic project environments
Teamwork and leadership potential
Occasional travel required (max. 5%)
Excellent German and English language skills
