About the role
As an Operations Technician (12‑month Fixed Term Contract – maternity cover), you will support the manufacture of TissuePatch within the Surgery organisation. This role contributes to the production of medical products designed to support patients and healthcare professionals throughout surgical care.
No previous cleanroom or manufacturing experience is required. Full training and ongoing support are provided, making this an opportunity to develop practical skills in a regulated manufacturing environment while working as part of a collaborative and supportive team.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Carry out manufacturing activities such as solution preparation, casting, and cutting, with training and support provided
- Prepare, clean, and check glassware and equipment before and after production
- Clean and maintain cleanroom environments in line with agreed standards and procedures
- Perform routine microbiological monitoring and complete required documentation
- Support equipment maintenance in partnership with engineering colleagues
- Monitor raw material and solvent levels and assist with goods receipt and booking‑in
- Maintain production areas, so they are safe, organised, and efficient
- Keep accurate records in line with quality, regulatory, health, and safety requirements
About you
- Enjoy practical work and value consistency, accuracy, and following defined processes
- Bring a dependable approach and work collaboratively to meet shared goals and timelines
- Feel confident using basic computer systems, including Microsoft Office
- Show interest in quality standards and safe working practices in a manufacturing environment
- Are open to supporting a range of operational activities, including packaging or laboratory support, when needed
