We’re looking for a Sales Capability & Performance Manager to elevate the performance of BD’s sales organisation across ANZ. In this role, you’ll design and deliver the skills, coaching and tools that help our sales teams execute at their best in the field, with customers, and in leadership conversations.
This role is perfect for an experienced commercial leader with strong coaching instincts, deep understanding of sales excellence, and the drive to translate strategy into practical, scalable capability. You’ll work closely with the Commercial Excellence Manager and Sales Leadership to build a culture of consistency, discipline and high‑quality customer engagement.

Your Day-to-Day
As the Sales Capability & Performance Manager, you'll shape the skills, tools and behaviours that drive sales execution across ANZ.
Your day will include:
- Designing and delivering capability programs aligned to BD’s go‑to‑market strategy
- Building structured onboarding and development pathways for sales associates and managers
- Facilitating impactful training — workshops, field coaching, virtual sessions and self‑learning
- Coaching sales associates in the field to strengthen opportunity management, customer engagement and sales execution
- Coaching sales managers to uplift leadership, pipeline discipline and coaching effectiveness
- Partnering with sales leaders on cadence excellence (1:1s, pipelines, forecasts and account plans)
- Supporting adoption of commercial tools such as CRM, dashboards and planning frameworks
- Developing and maintaining playbooks, job aids, learning content and capability frameworks
- Localising global content for ANZ needs and aligning cross‑functionally with Marketing, Sales Ops, and Commercial Excellence
- Measuring program effectiveness and continuously improving based on data and stakeholder feedback
About You
You’re a confident facilitator, strong coach and commercially minded leader who knows what great sales execution looks like — and how to unlock it in others.
You’ll bring:
- Experience in medical devices with proven credibility leading or supporting commercial teams
- Strong knowledge of sales methodologies (SPIN, Challenger, Miller Heiman, Solution Selling, GROW etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to design, deliver and embed capability programs
- Experience coaching both sales associates and sales managers
- Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder‑management skills
- Ability to simplify complexity, influence behaviour change and drive adoption
- High energy, analytical thinking and a passion for continuous improvement
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
