Provide project management and technical support for all site facilities. Emphasis on multi-functional involvement, procurement, project management, safety and environmental compliance, project work, vendor management and related documentation. This position will get direction from the Manufacturing Leader and have oversight for the facility budget. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and practices and all local, state, federal and BD safety laws, policies and procedures.

Drive operational excellence by strategically managing our manufacturing facility while ensuring compliance, safety, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with production leadership to optimize plant layout and implement facility enhancements that drive efficiency and productivity
  • Maintain impeccable regulatory standards (GMP, ADA, OSHA, FDA, RCRA, EPA) and ensure 100% compliance with safety protocols and insurance requirements
  • Manage critical infrastructure including HVAC, compressed air, vacuum systems, and utilities while implementing preventative maintenance excellence through SAP
  • Control departmental expenses, develop strategic budgets, and oversee vendor relationships.
  • Lead office reconfigurations, facility improvements, and coordinate with external partners including landlords and regulatory inspectors
  • Serve on the EH&S committee to foster a culture of workplace safety and continuous improvement
  • Lead property loss prevention initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, FM Global insurance standards, and safety protocols
  • Oversee essential services including janitorial, pest control, and building maintenance
  • Serve as primary liaison with building management for common area maintenance issues
  • Support regulatory inspections and maintain required documentation
  • Implement the site's long-term facilities strategy

SKILLS

  • Knowledge of federal and state laws on GMP, EPA, OSHA, GMP and industrial hygiene protocols, fire protection, emergency response management and hazardous material storage and disposal.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Proven vendor management skills.

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications

  • Proficient with AutoCAD, Excel, Word and MS Project

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • 5 years of facility, plant, operation and/or project management experience

  • Experience in cost estimation, negotiation, and contract management

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs, be on feet for 8 hours a day, access the facility roof top (i.e. use a ladder)

Preferred Qualification

  • HVAC, Air Compressors and Building Management Systems experience
