Job Description:
Responsible for sampling and inspecting the product during various steps in the process. Control the charting of information gathered and ensure it is in accordance with Standard Operating Procedure and production standards. Initiate Material Review Reports and follow through per Material Review Report process as required.
Sample and inspect the product and record the results on the control charts. May do additional sampling as required by the Material Review Report process.
Operate quality inspection instruments, i.e. Nikon, Pen & Drag.
Perform the required calculations on the control chats and plot the points.
Inform key personnel of any control chat points that are out of the control limits or any trends which are of concern.
Initiate Material Review Reports as required. May be the first responder to any quality issues on the line.
Aid in problem solving of specific manufacturing problems.
Collect and report any data/information requested by the Manufacturing Coach.
Perform additional sampling for engineers, R&D, and other special requests as required.
Conduct miscellaneous check of quality, assembly techniques, and documentation as directed.
Use Statistical Process Control as required by the Standard Operating Procedures.
Maintain certification on all processes in the department where operating as a PCO.
Participate in the team building concept.
Work overtimes as needed by the department.
Actively participate in Continuous Improvement teams and activities, including 5S, blitzes, Shift Start-up, updating PVD boards, etc.
Continuously improve through the KAS program, meeting department goals for completed KAS.
Comply with all local, state, federal, and BD safety regulations, policies, and procedures including RCRA Hazardous Waste regulations.
Comply with all local BD quality policies, procedures, and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Experience: 1 year of quality related experience.
Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have good interpersonal skills.
