The Urology & Critical Care (UCC) Home Care business within BD is unique in that it manufactures products for consumers in the home and services them through our medical distribution subsidiary, Liberator Medical.  The mission of UCC Home Care is to pioneer innovations that restore dignity, expand access for all, and eliminate stigma, empowering individuals and caregivers to embrace life fully, with confidence, freedom, and a renewed sense of normalcy.

The General Manager (Sr. Director) / President of the Board for Liberator Medical is a transformational leader who will set the standard for excellence in home care. This role demands a relentless focus on customer experience, ensuring every interaction delivers trust, simplicity, and care. You will own the strategy, execution, and governance of Liberator Medical, driving industry-leading service, operational precision, and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Experience Leadership

  • Champion a customer-first culture that prioritizes empathy, speed, and reliability in every touchpoint.
  • Redefine service standards to deliver an experience that is not only compliant but delights patients, caregivers and clinicians.
  • Leverage data-driven insights to anticipate customer needs and proactively eliminate friction across the journey.

Strategic Leadership

  • Craft and execute a bold growth strategy that positions Liberator Medical as the premier home care partner in the industry.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer at the executive table, ensuring decisions reflect patient-centric priorities.

Operational Excellence

  • Embed continuous improvement as a core organizational mindset, ensuring that every team member actively seeks opportunities to enhance processes, systems, and outcomes.
  • Drive operational rigor and innovation to deliver best-in-class fulfillment and service reliability.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives that raise the bar for speed, accuracy, and quality.

Financial Stewardship

  • Own full P&L responsibility, ensuring profitable growth without compromising customer trust.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities that expand market share and strengthen BD’s leadership in home care.

Governance & Compliance

  • Act as President of the Board, ensuring world-class governance and uncompromising compliance with healthcare regulations and BD standards.

Team Leadership & Talent Development

  • Build and nurture high-performing teams by attracting, developing, motivating, and retaining top talent.
  • Drive organizational change through effective change management strategies and competency development.
  • Develop strong people leaders by fostering accountability for business unit goals, enabling continuous process improvements, and cultivating a culture of innovation.
  • Ensure alignment and engagement by maintaining regular, transparent communication so that organizational goals are clearly understood and embraced by the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 20+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare, home care, or medical supply industry.
  • 10+ years General Management experience required
  • Proven track record of transforming customer experience and driving measurable business growth.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance in healthcare.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
