The BD family is seeking responsible and committed people to join our team of professional Field Service Engineers for the support of the BD Medication Management solutions (MMS) automated dispensing segment. The BD Pyxis brand combines proven technology with actionable intelligence to prevent medication errors, help free up clinician time to focus on patient care, increase the predictability of medication availability and reduce inefficiencies in the medication use process. Additionally, the Field Service Engineer is responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams within our Global Customer Support organization to understand and be sensitive to our customer and business needs from end to end.

Position Overview
This is a remote field-based position requiring daily travel to customer locations within an assigned territory. The ideal candidate will provide technical support for BD Pyxis automated dispensing systems in healthcare facilities, maintaining and servicing both hardware and software components.
Location Requirements
- Candidates should reside within a 30-mile radius of the position's base location - Lubbock, TX
- Company vehicle provided
- 5% overnight travel may be required
Core Responsibilities
- Provide on-site and remote technical support for BD Pyxis automated dispensing systems
- Diagnose, service, and resolve hardware and software issues
- Implement preventive maintenance programs
- Perform installations, repairs, calibrations, and provide sales support
- Maintain accurate documentation of service activities and inventory
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development
- Manage company assets (vehicle, tools, inventory) responsibly
Required Qualifications
- 24x7 on-call experience in a customer-facing/field service environment
- Strong mechanical, computer, verbal, written, and time management skills
- Experience with computer electronics, Windows OS, and networking
- CompTIA A+ Certification
- Medical device or electromechanical device service/repair experience
- Customer Support Certification
- Valid driver's license meeting BD's auto safety standards
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Healthcare Technology or 3-5 years of combined Hardware/Software/IT experience
- Experience as a hospital pharmacy technician or in a hospital Bio-Med environment
- Prior customer support center experience or training
- Military Bio-Med experience
- Automated Teller Machine (ATM) service experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 70 lb. objects from floor to chest level
- Proficiency with powered tools (drills, screwdrivers) and manual tools
- Ability to sit, kneel, squat, bend, and stand repeatedly during 8-10 hour shifts
- Capability to push and pull heavy objects on casters
- Perform fine motor tasks while reaching for extended periods
- Carry a 40 lb. pack on back or shoulder for up to 1 hour
- Drive for up to 6 hours, including in adverse weather conditions
- Climb portable ladders and step stools
- Pass respirator fit test and medical evaluation (may be required for certain service tasks)
This position requires a blend of technical expertise, customer service skills, and physical capabilities to effectively support healthcare facilities with their BD Pyxis automated dispensing systems.
Upon hire, must provide proof of and maintain current immunizations and obtain additional immunizations appropriate for the facility which enables access to customer sites in order to perform essential job functions. Proofs must include: Hepatitis B, Influenza (current year), MMR (mumps, measles, rubella), Varicella (chicken pox) Annual TB/PPD (skin test), Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis, COVID-19.
