Job Overview
As the Diagnostic Solutions Cytology Specialist, you will play a vital role in coordinating Contract Renewals, Non-Compliance negotiations, and Account Management collaboration with field teams for all Cytology products within the DS Product Portfolio. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to BD's mission of advancing the world of health by improving medical discovery, diagnostics, and the delivery of care.
Key Responsibilities
Track and renew Cytology Agreements expiring within the fiscal year, working closely with the Compliance team to ensure proper recovery of any shortfalls.
Prepare and submit Pre-Approvals for new Agreement proposals, negotiating Agreements for both new business and renewals.
Follow up with accounts to address Agreement non-compliance, negotiating revised Agreements or finalizing terminations as necessary, in consultation with Compliance and Legal.
Partner with field sales, Regional Business Managers, Marketing, and Marketing Operations to address situations that may delay order shipments, providing ongoing communication and technical expertise to customers and internal colleagues.
Assist the Account Team with Cytology proposals, participate in joint calls, prepare Cytology Quotations/Proposals, and provide feedback to Sales Leadership and Marketing.
Assist with Cytology training, including Cytology Calculator Training, Proposal and Pre-Approval training, and discussions on historical data and the current cervical cancer landscape.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, biological areas, business, or related Cytology/Women's Health experience is required. A degree in Medical Technology (MT ASCP) or Microbiology is preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of selling experience in laboratory medicine, with preferred contracts and negotiations experience.
A combination of clinical market sales, financial, or technical selling experience is strongly preferred.
Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license and meet BD's auto safety standards.
Skills
Strong organizational skills, including territory management, account assessment, and relationship development.
Analytical and financial orientation applicable to contract proposals, profitability, budget, and expense management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Computer savvy with working knowledge of MS Office applications, Salesforce.com, Power BI, and connectivity devices.
Strong virtual selling and collaboration skillset, with reliable internet connection and at-home working space.
