Job Summary

Receive spare parts and equipment purchased, verifying appropriate quantities, cost and part numbers. Make purchase requisitions when needed thru SAP or Buy Smart. Performs all these activities in compliance with company’s personnel safety, quality systems as well as 5s methodology.
Job Responsibilities
Maintain spare parts room following 5s methodology and inventory control accuracy
Meet requirements of issues and deliveries of spare parts & equipment on time Plan requirements and create purchase requisitions of spare parts and/or equipment.
Keep control of open orders by receiving the spare parts & equipment on time. Stocking of spare parts & equipment to designated locations.
File all the receiving documents.
Get the control cycles requested; Verifies physical stock count against computer generated inventory reports.
Retrieve and distribute parts to maintenance personnel. Follow up on any other additional activity requested.
Complies and enforces Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Orders parts from contracted vendors that are not in stock but are required immediately for a mechanical repair.

Education and Experience:
Experience in tool cribs
GED or High School Diploma
Bilingual Preferred (English/Spanish).
Experience:
General knowledge of the proper use of parts manuals and supply catalogs
ERP Systems experience such as SAP, ORACLE,JD Eduards, etc.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Access)
Principles and practices of inventory management/control and work safety
Knowledge and Skills:
Basic mathematics.
Applicant should have excellent verbal & telephone skills.
Maintain accurate & organized records.
Good communication skills, oral and written at different levels.
Physical Demands: (if applicable)
Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stopping, climbing stairs, twisting and bending frequently (more than 4 hours of each activity).
Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instruction and visually inspect parts
Able to lift and push 50 lbs safely.
