Under the supervision of the General Accounting Manager, you will operate within the Cost Management team, under the GBS RTR General Accounting COE EMEA. In this role you ensure correct accounting for, and reporting off, all intercompany movements in BD's European distribution entities. This role also ensures that price purchase controls are applied in compliance with the company’s compliance regime.

What You'll Do:

In this role you'll deep dive into analyzing purchase price variance (PPV) trends, and share insightful metrics in review meetings.

You'll keep a close eye on monthly reconciliations between our inventory management - and SAP financial accounting system and collaborate with your team to investigate variances and operational specifics.

Supporting local controllers with transfer pricing methodology and documentation requirements for tax authorities across Europe and the US will be a key part of your role.

Establish and maintain partnerships for team support and ensuring timely execution of SOX controls is key. Together with your team, you will coordinate the standard cost updates for the annual budget with Plant Controllers.

In this team you'll manage daily standard cost updates and transfer pricing rules in systems and work closely with external and internal auditors.

Sharing standard methodologies and new findings is essential. You'll cultivate growth by sharing your knowledge to improve the expertise of others and act as a key contributor in a sophisticated and changing environment.

Ensuring integrity and compliance with business processes and advocating for ethical behavior will be fundamental to your role.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in finance or cost management roles, preferably in a multinational environment.

• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze trends in purchase price variances (PPV) and metrics.

• Communication: Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.

• Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in SAP financial accounting systems and inventory management systems is a plus.

• Compliance: Understand the meaning of compliance and become familiar with SOX and internal controls, ensuring strong purchase price controls.

• Coordination: Ability to coordinate and handle multiple tasks efficiently, including the annual cost enrollment process.

• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address sophisticated challenges and operational specifics.

• Ethical Behavior: Dedication to ethical behavior and integrity in business processes.
