Job Description
Lead the Future of Supply Chain Planning Transformation
Are you a supply chain planning expert with a passion for driving large-scale digital transformation? Do you thrive at the intersection of business, technology, and operational excellence?
We are looking for a Supply Chain Planning Design Subject Matter Expert (SME) – EMEA to play a pivotal role in transforming our planning landscape from SAP APO to SAP S/4HANA Embedded Planning and SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP). In this highly visible role, you will shape the future of planning capabilities across EMEA, ensuring business requirements are translated into scalable, efficient, and future-ready solutions.
Working closely with Supply Chain leaders, IT teams, system integrators, and business stakeholders, you will be the trusted expert driving process design, solution decisions, and successful adoption across a complex regional network.
Your main responsabilities:
Drive a Major Business Transformation
- Lead EMEA planning process design as part of the migration from SAP APO to SAP S/4HANA and SAP IBP.
- Represent EMEA operational requirements in global design discussions and decision-making.
- Influence the future-state planning operating model while balancing standardization and regional business needs.
- Ensure planning processes continue to support high service levels and regulatory requirements across EMEA.
Own EMEA Planning Process Design
- Act as the primary subject matter expert for EMEA supply chain planning processes and systems.
- Provide expertise across:
- Supply Planning
- Inventory Planning & Replenishment
- Distribution Requirements & Deployment Planning
- Distribution Center Operations
- Translate business requirements into SAP functional designs.
- Drive adoption of SAP standard capabilities while minimizing complexity and customization.
Shape the Future Planning Landscape
- Map current APO and LOTS-supported processes to future SAP S/4HANA and IBP capabilities.
- Support master data harmonization, planning model design, and migration strategies.
- Identify process gaps and develop mitigation plans to ensure business continuity during transition.
- Contribute directly to system design, testing, deployment, and go-live readiness.
Partner Across the Business
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Logistics, Customer Service, Commercial Teams, IT, and external partners.
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops and build alignment on key decisions.
- Act as the voice of the EMEA planning organization within a global transformation program.
- Balance regional requirements with global process standards.
Enable Successful Change
- Support testing activities, including integration and user acceptance testing.
- Develop training materials and support end-user adoption.
- Promote continuous improvement and planning best practices post go-live.
Support Strategic Network Optimization
- Assess inventory, replenishment, planning, and service implications of future distribution network scenarios.
- Provide expertise on deployment strategies, service levels, lead times, and network design.
- Ensure future network decisions align with SAP S/4HANA and IBP capabilities.
About you :
- 10+ years of Supply Chain Planning experience, ideally in complex regional or global organizations.
- Experience working in global cross-functional environments, preferably within Life Sciences, Medical Devices, Manufacturing, or other regulated industries; exposure to AI-driven forecasting and predictive analytics is a plus.
- Deep knowledge of supply chain planning processes, including demand, supply, inventory, distribution, and deployment planning.
- Strong understanding of Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and global supply chain network design and optimization.
- Strong SAP APO expertise (5+ years) covering Demand Planning (DP), Supply Network Planning (SNP), PP/DS, and integration processes.
- Hands-on experience with SAP IBP and/or SAP S/4HANA Planning (3+ years) in modern planning environments.
- Proven track record leading or supporting APO-to-IBP/S/4HANA transformations, including end-to-end deployment and change management.
- Data-driven mindset, with experience in analytics and visualization tools such as Excel, Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud, and planning performance monitoring.
- Technical knowledge of planning models and integrations, including time-series and order-based planning, scenario modeling, optimization, CPI-DS, SLT, and RTI technologies.
- Strategic leadership skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders, facilitate decision-making, and translate technical concepts into business value.
Compensation range for this position: 165 000 to 175 000 CHF / year fixed base + bonus + corporate benefit
