The Global Business Services (GBS) team helps drive BD forward by seeking out and implementing innovative ways to operate effectively and efficiently. We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Global Service Regional Leader for our Record-to-Report (RTR) service line in GAR Region. Reporting to the Global Service Owner, Record-to-Report, with dotted line reporting to the Regional CFO or equivalent the role will be responsible for defining and managing the service delivery framework, performance metrics, usage, controls, and standards within the Record-to-Report process of GAR Region. This role ensures that service levels are consistently met or exceeded, financial reporting is accurate and timely, and continuous improvements are implemented to enhance efficiency and effectiveness for all business process transactions, reporting, and analytics. This role will shape the RTR transformation agenda and roadmap and support execution of global roadmap and will be a critical required member of the Regional Finance Leadership Team.
The Global Service Regional Service Management Leader oversees the efficient delivery of Record-to-Report services within the region, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards and oversees/drives the transformation roadmap to achieve BD, GBS and Regional headquarter’Finance function strategy. They will play an important role in supporting the transformation of RTR processes, leveraging their expertise to ensure alignment with the Regional headquarter’s business requirements and best practices, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to provide insight and support process improvements, enhance system capabilities, and achieve operational excellence in RTR finance.
This role involves strong change leadership to operate seamlessly while transforming organization and enabling new capability build.
Responsibilities:
- Service Management:
- Accountable for regional service delivery for RTR EAME Region, any co-mingled scope across internal teams and outsourced teams (BPO) ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Assure service quality and drive performance to SLAs.
- Provides strategic leadership in audits process, and identification and mitigation within the RtR EAME Region processes
- Oversee accurate reconciliation of accounts and ensure proper consolidation of financial data across global entities, adhering to transfer pricing policies.
- Ensure efficient month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting while resolving any issues that arise.
- Support the implementation and enhancement of financial systems to support RtR processes, ensuring data integrity and providing user training for effective system utilization.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making of the regional headquarters by providing to its senior leadership accurate financial data, conducting scenario analysis, and participating in cross-functional projects as requested.
- Continuous improvement management:
- Create culture of continuous improvement and serve as champion and strategic advisory to teams on opportunity identification, design, and issue resolution with respect to RTR matters. Actively drives stakeholder alignment and resourcing to support teams.
- Drive continuous improvement with our outsourced stakeholders in RTR processes/sub-processes
- Collects and manages operations pain points to drive process improvement
- Identifies opportunities to standardize and improve operational processes
- Conducts ad hoc projects and unusual or complex assignments, supporting multiple projects in a time sensitive environment.
- Transformation roadmap
- Provide relevant RTR input into tech & process standardization roadmap and requirements
- Lead talent, change management and engagement for transformation projects involving GA Region.
- Governance & Stakeholder management
- Align with cross-functional partners in region across function, GBS, business
- Align with Finance function (Tax, Treasury, Controllership, etc) to ensure end to end Finance coordination
- Represent RTR at global and regional forums and provide relevant input into global approaches for both operations and transformation roadmap
- Talent and Change Leadership
- Motivate team during period of significant change with strong communication around vision
- Provide input to global/regional talent strategies set by global or regional headquarter’s leaders and help implement strategies within regional RTR team to support associate learning and development
- Qualify opportunities to standardize processes and documentation Input and approval of regional roadmap and strategy for RTR process design as part of global approach Input to regional talent strategy and change/mgmt. engagement approach
- Identify and qualify areas for optimization and process improvement for RTR process areas within regional scope
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Master’s degree is a plus
- Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or equivalent is highly desirable
- Understanding of financial reporting requirements and standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in regional Record to Report processes including at least 5 years in a leadership role
- A minimum of 10 years of experience, with 3-5 years in accounting leadership roles
- Ability to drive collaboration with senior leaders
- Ability to influence people at all levels locally, regionally, and globally
- Deep end-to-end process knowledge of Record to Report A global, customer-first mindset with strong business acumen.
- Excellent leadership skills, with a track record of managing and inspiring teams
- A collaborative, can-do mentality, with the ability to drive change management initiatives. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
