Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Quality Management
- Ensure 100% completeness and accuracy of shipment lifecycle events
- Continuously monitor data across BD ERPs and Control Tower systems and resolve discrepancies.
- Perform manual tracking (carrier portals/websites) to backfill missing events when system gaps exist.
- Root Cause Analysis & Issue Resolution
- Conduct structured root cause analysis (RCA) on missing, delayed, or incorrect shipment data.
- Identify system, process, or service provider gaps and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Collaborate with service providers, IT teams, and Control Tower teams to resolve data integration issues.
- Data Integration & Performance Monitoring
- Develop and maintain data quality dashboards to monitor: Event completeness, Data timeliness, Transmission success rates from carriers.
- Track service provider data performance and drive improvements through regular reviews.
- Process Governance & Standardization
- Define and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data quality management.
- Ensure standard definitions and consistency of shipment milestone data across GAR.
- Support alignment across systems and stakeholders to reduce manual intervention and data fragmentation.
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with: Country Logistics teams, Control Tower team, ERP / IT teams, External service providers
- Act as a central coordinator to resolve cross-functional data quality issues impacting shipment visibility.
- Continuous Improvement & Reporting
- Maintain data quality improvement tracker (issues, actions, status, impact).
- Identify opportunities to automate data capture and reduce manual effort.
- Support preparation of regular reports and insights for management reviews.
- Contribute to Control Tower 2.0 and digital transformation initiatives related to track & trace and data visibility.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset with attention to detail
- Structured problem-solving with ability to perform RCA and implement CAPA
- Effective communication and stakeholder management across regions
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-country environment
- Customer-centric mindset with focus on service reliability and accuracy
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
Experience: 1–2 years of experience in Supply chain operations, logistics, or transportation, OR Data quality / reporting / analytics roles
Technical & Professional Knowledge
- Strong proficiency in Excel (mandatory)
- Experience with data analysis, dashboards, or reporting tools (Power BI preferred)
- Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP ECC) and logistics processes is a plus
- Basic understanding of data structures, integration, or SQL is an advantage
- Familiarity with Control Tower / track & trace systems preferred
