Job Description Summary:

The primary function of the Finance Partner will be to provide insightful analysis and financial support to our Supply Chain team as well BD Boisciences team. As a member of the Finance Team, the Finance Partner is expected to support other Finance associates when required. These key responsibilities will require a collaborative approach across Finance, Sales, Marketing and IT, both locally and regionally.

Forecasting, Planning and Analysis

  • Partner with Supply Chain team to do the planning and monthly analysis and report requirements

  • Partner with BDB business unit in planning and monthly actuals  

  • Involve in annual product costing review exercise

  • Prepare required templates and analysis for BDX consolidation of Projections, Annual Strategic Review and Budget

  • Prepare, coordinate, and submit required supporting data and schedules to Regional Finance on a timely manner

  • Support FP&A Manager in control and analysing of non-business actual expenses versus expectation and provision of commentaries

Supports the FP&A Team

  • Produce and collate management report to management to understand actual performance versus budget and projection

  • Provide support to other FP&A members, including acting as a backup.

  • Other ad-hoc Finance tasks as requested by FP&A Manager and Finance Director

Relationship with Regional Office and Genpac

  • Foster a close and positive relationship with Regional Finance and Genpac

  • “Point person” for Regional Finance and Genpac in answering queries / requests for information

Systems and Procedures & Process Improvement

  • Refine and further develop reporting and forecasting tools to enhance accuracy and eliminate manual input

  • Understand and apply all Finance Policies as are applicable to the local businesses.

  • Utilise relevant existing systems and procedures.

  • Learn and development knowledge in adopting new Financial planning tools

  • Work with the Finance Team and with IT to enhance systems usage within the area.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Tertiary degree in a Finance related field.

  • Medtech, Pharmaceutical or FMCG experience desirable.

  • 4-6 years overall finance work experience with at least 1 year in a similar role in a medium sized multinational organisation.

  • Experience working with SAP, BPC and Power BI

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Proven strong analytical skills to be able to identify and articulate business issues or opportunities on a timely basis.

  • Proven strong communication skills across a broad spectrum of business partners.

  • “Hands-on” knowledge of budgeting and forecast tools tailored to meet business needs.

  • “Hands-on” experience of designing and implementing business reporting mode.
