It takes the imagination and passion of all of us—from design and engineering to the manufacturing and marketing of our billions of MedTech products per year—to look at the impossible and find transformative solutions that turn dreams into possibilities.

Job Description

Support complex healthcare technology projects from planning through to delivery across ANZ.

At BD, possibility isn’t an idea. It’s what we do. We are the Makers of Possible.

We’re seeking a Project Support Officer to join BD’s Project Management team on a fixed‑term contract ending May 2028, supporting the delivery of complex programs and projects across our Medication Management Solutions business.

In this role, you’ll work closely with Project Managers delivering capital equipment, automation and clinical IT projects across hospitals and pharmacies throughout Australia and New Zealand. You’ll play a critical role in keeping projects on track - supporting reporting, coordination, stakeholder engagement and governance while contributing to best‑in‑class project delivery.

If you’re organised, proactive and enjoy working at the centre of fast‑moving project environments, this is a fantastic opportunity to make an impact in MedTech.

Your Day‑to‑Day

As a Project Support Officer, you’ll provide hands‑on project coordination and administrative support across multiple workstreams.

Your day will include:

  • Supporting Project Managers with the administrative and coordination activities required to deliver project objectives
  • Maintaining strong communication with internal teams, customers and external stakeholders
  • Preparing and maintaining detailed project reports, dashboards and status updates
  • Ensuring project tracking tools and centralised reporting systems are accurate and up to date
  • Monitoring project actions, risks, dependencies and milestones, and escalating where required
  • Providing executive administrative support including travel bookings, calendar coordination and expense management
  • Supporting scheduling, documentation control and governance activities
  • Ensuring deadlines are met through high‑quality, accurate and timely administration
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of project processes and reporting practices

You’ll work alongside multiple Project Managers within the PMO, supporting a diverse portfolio of healthcare technology projects.

About You

You’re detail‑driven, organised and comfortable juggling multiple priorities. You enjoy working closely with project teams, solving problems and keeping things moving behind the scenes.

You’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in a project support or project administration role, ideally within a fast‑paced environment (preferably within the health/hospital industries)
  • Background supporting capital equipment, technology or healthcare projects (advantageous)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Experience preparing reports, trackers, dashboards and documentation
  • Confidence supporting senior stakeholders with coordination and admin tasks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Smartsheet, CRM or other PM tools highly regarded
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative PMO
  • A proactive mindset, reliability and willingness to take initiative
  • Degree qualification in business administration, analytics or a related field (preferred but not essential)

If you enjoy being the backbone of project delivery and want exposure to large‑scale MedTech programs, this role will suit you well.

Why BD?

With over 70,000 associates worldwide, we’re committed to building meaningful careers. Here in ANZ, a large % of roles are filled internally - we don’t just promise development, we deliver it.
You’ll join a collaborative, high‑performing projects environment working on technology that genuinely improves healthcare delivery.

Because at BD, possibility isn’t just imagined — it’s made.

What’s in It for You

  • 2‑year fixed‑term contract with a global MedTech leader
  • Exposure to complex capital and clinical IT implementations
  • Opportunity to support projects across hospitals and pharmacies throughout ANZ
  • Hands‑on experience within a mature Project Management Office
  • Variety, learning and development in a supportive team environment
  • Meaningful work enabling safer, smarter medication management
