BD Advanced Patient Monitoring is a global leader in advanced monitoring solutions that expands BD's portfolio of smart connected care solutions with its growing set of leading monitoring technologies, advanced AI-enabled clinical decision tools and robust innovation pipeline. BD Advanced Patient Monitoring's technologies are often used simultaneously with the BD Alaris™ Infusion System in the operating room or intensive care units. The combination of BD's new advanced monitoring and existing infusion platforms enables future innovation opportunities for closed-loop hemodynamic monitoring and IV fluid and medication administration by integrating combined company data sets and interoperability capabilities.Job Description
About the role
- Primary responsibilities include direct and indirect sales activities - promote and sell products of Advanced Patient Monitoring Business Units in the Czech Republic in line with Becton Dickinson policy regarding Shared Values and Business Ethics. Maximize profitable sales volume in the specified territory. Cooperate with Business Unit Director and EU Marketing in developing and implementing a strategy in line with BD APM vision to meet the needs of the market. As an Account Manager within BD's Advanced Patient Monitoring Division, you will be responsible for driving sales and expanding the market presence of our advanced patient monitoring solutions in the Czech Republic. You will engage with healthcare professionals, understand their needs, and provide tailored solutions to improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and Business Development:Identify and pursue new business opportunities, manage existing accounts, and achieve sales targets.
- Customer Engagement:Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, hospital procurement and hospital administrators.
- Product Expertise:Provide expert advice on BD’s Advanced Patient Monitoring products, demonstrating a deep understanding of cardiovascular anatomy and hemodynamics.
- Market Analysis:Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Training and Support:Conduct product training sessions and case support during surgical procedures in the OR and in the ICU to ensure optimal use and adoption of BD’s solutions.
- Collaboration:Work closely with the marketing and Professional Education and technical teams to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
Qualifications:
- Education:Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Life Sciences, Business, Marketing).
- Experience:Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience in the medical devices industry, preferably in patient monitoring or related fields.
- Skills:Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to understand complex medical concepts and convey them effectively.
- Language:Proficiency in Czech and English.
- Travel: The ideal candidate will live in the Prague area. Willingness to travel within the Czech Republic and occasionally to other regions as required.
Additional Skills:
- Knowledge of cardiovascular science, anatomy and hemodynamics
- Understanding of medical device regulatory requirements.
- Experience with capital sales is a plus.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
