About the role
The Marketing Leader META is responsible for leading the strategic marketing agenda for the Connected Care segment across the Middle East, Turkey and Africa region. The role is accountable for driving demand creation, market development, portfolio growth, customer engagement, launch excellence, and commercial enablement to support sustainable and profitable growth across the Connect Care portfolio.
The position serves as the regional voice of the customer and market, translating global and META marketing strategies into locally relevant execution plans that address diverse healthcare systems and customer needs.
Main responsibilities will include:
Strategic Marketing Leadership
- Develop and execute the Connected Care META marketing strategy aligned with global priorities and regional business objectives.
- Lead development of annual operating plans, marketing strategies, growth initiatives, and budget allocation.
- Identify emerging customer needs, healthcare trends, competitive dynamics, and market opportunities across META.
- Support market-shaping initiatives and strategic partnerships that enhance BD’s leadership position in medication management and patient safety.
- Partner with VP to support long-term growth strategies and market expansion plans.
Portfolio Management & Market Development
- Develop portfolio strategies that maximize market penetration and profitable growth.
- Lead product lifecycle management activities including launch readiness, commercialization, portfolio optimization, and end-of-life planning.
- Collaborate with Global Marketing and Platform Leaders to localize value propositions, messaging, and customer engagement strategies.
- Identify unmet customer needs and market opportunities to support product innovation and business development initiatives.
- Drive market access and customer adoption of Connected Care solutions through evidence-based value propositions.
Commercial Excellence & Demand Generation
- Partner closely with Sales Leadership to drive commercial growth and revenue acceleration initiatives.
- Develop integrated marketing campaigns that generate demand and strengthen customer engagement.
- Support key account planning and strategic customer development initiatives.
- Drive marketing effectiveness through customer segmentation, targeting, campaign measurement, and ROI analysis.
- Ensure alignment between marketing investments and commercial objectives.
Customer & Competitive Intelligence
- Maintain deep understanding of customer needs, market trends, healthcare policy developments, and competitor activities.
- Engage with healthcare leaders, pharmacists, clinicians, ministries of health, procurement authorities, and key opinion leaders.
- Gather and translate customer insight into actionable business recommendations.
- Provide strategic market intelligence to support business planning and investment decisions.
Product Launch & Campaign Excellence
- Lead commercialization planning and execution for new products and digital health solutions.
- Develop launch strategies, customer adoption programs, and campaign execution plans.
- Establish metrics and dashboards to monitor campaign effectiveness and business performance.
- Leverage digital and omnichannel marketing approaches to enhance customer reach and engagement.
- Ensure consistent execution of brand, product, and marketing standards across the region.
Financial Management
- Manage regional marketing budget and resource allocation.
- Support development of annual operating plans and forecasting processes.
- Monitor marketing investments and return on investment.
- Contribute to achievement of regional sales, gross profit, and operating plan commitments.
Leadership & Talent Development
- Lead, coach, and develop regional marketing talent.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, inclusion, and accountability.
- Build marketing capabilities across product management, market development, digital marketing, and commercial excellence.
- Support talent assessment, succession planning, and capability development within the organization.
About you
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering, Healthcare Management, or related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in marketing, commercial leadership, product management, or business development.
- Experience within Medical Devices, MedTech, Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, or Digital Health industries.
- Demonstrated success influencing cross-functional teams in a complex matrix organization.
- Experience managing successful regional product launches and commercial growth initiatives.
