Job Description Summary
This role is a member of the Shift Team reporting to the Technical Specialist/Shift Leader and supports manufacturing activities including performance of visual inspection, dimensional inspection, and Functional testing to ensure product meets the product specifications.Job Description
1. Operational Tasks
1.1 Perform visual inspection, dimensional inspection, and functional testing for manufacturing in-process or first piece/inhouse molding approval activities.
1.2 Feedback materials / product discrepancy to upstream process /manufacturing
1.3 Handle the non-conforming product per non-conformance product handling procedure.
1.4 Update inspection result per procedure.
1.5 Participate in project undertaken by the team. E.g., Data collection on quality improvement project.
1.6 File inspection forms and other quality record that required in the lot traceability procedure to their respective lot master and support for retrieval.
1.7 Oversee the sort / re-work activities, collate and file the data accordingly.
1.8 Internal coordination with other function groups.
2. Supporting Tasks
2.1 Contribute into departments activities that are needed in order to achieve goals set for the department eg. Kaizen submission, Environmental Safety Opportunity etc. .
2.2 Participate in the discussion and review of team's performance in the Tier 1 meeting.
2.3 Participate in continuous improvement initiatives / activities.
2.4 Perform evaluation testing as detailed in an approved protocol.
2.5 Perform any other tasks as assigned.
3. General Accountability
3.1 Reporting up on all quality incidents, near misses, non-conformance from SOP, Specifications and when required, to take part in further investigations.
3.2 Reporting up on all incidents / accidents, near misses, deviations from plan and when required, to take part in further investigations.
3.3 Observe BD Code of Ethics
3.4 Apply SOP and/or SWI in daily operations.
3.5 Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) accountability. Observing GMP rules and procedures.
3.6 Safety and ISO14001 Environmental accountability. Ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally friendly workplace by observing Company’s rules and procedures. Active involvement in prevention, elimination of potential safety hazards and participation in activities which promotes recycling, replacement, and reduction of resource materials.
3.7 Safety & health accountability: Safety and health are important to BD and we encourage the observance of all safety programs and training assigned to you. Such programs are to be attended in a timely manner to ensure that work tasks carried out are in accordance to our safety guidelines and SOPs.
Job Requirements
Education and Experience
Minimum 'O' Levels or equivalent. Preferably possess minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
Knowledge and Skills
Competency Assessment in accordance to work task assigned. Understanding of simple statistical techniques. Skilled in use of basic measuring instruments.
