About the Role
Join BD and play a key role in supporting our Ethylene Oxide (ETO) sterilization operations. As an Associate Process Engineer, you will help ensure safe, efficient, and compliant sterilization processes while driving quality, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. This role offers the opportunity to work across Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and EHS teams to support critical manufacturing operations that impact healthcare worldwide.
What You'll Do
Support daily EtO sterilization operations to ensure safety, quality, and production objectives are met.
Monitor sterilization process parameters and review cycle records for compliance with approved specifications.
Troubleshoot process and equipment issues and support investigations related to deviations, non-conformances, and customer complaints.
Execute validation and qualification activities, including IQ/OQ/PQ, requalification, and new product sterilization projects.
Analyze process data to identify opportunities for optimization, improved chamber utilization, and cost reduction.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and efficient sterilization operations.
Support preventive maintenance programs, equipment upgrades, and reliability improvement initiatives.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, validation reports, CAPAs, change controls, and operating procedures.
Ensure compliance with ISO 11135, ISO 13485, GMP, FDA, and company quality system requirements.
Participate in audits, risk assessments, HAZOP reviews, and continuous improvement projects.
Monitor key operational metrics and drive improvements in process performance and product release efficiency.
Promote a strong safety culture by adhering to all environmental, health, and safety requirements related to EtO operations.
Job Requirements
Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Relevant internship or industrial experience in manufacturing environments will be an advantage.
Knowledge of sterilization processes, validation activities, or process engineering is preferred.
Familiarity with GMP, FDA regulations, ISO 13485, ISO 11135, or other regulated industry standards is advantageous.
Problem solving ability to interpret process data and identify improvement opportunities
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to workplace safety, quality, and operational excellence.
