Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Lead daily manufacturing operations to consistently meet production targets and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Champion a culture of safety and accountability by enforcing safety and housekeeping standards, partnering with EHS to identify risks and implement corrective actions
- Ensure strict adherence to established procedures in alignment with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Oversee production flow, proactively identifying bottlenecks and driving real-time problem-solving and escalation to maintain efficiency
- Drive cross-functional collaboration by escalating issues and facilitating solutions that enable the team to achieve production goals
- Serve as the go-to subject matter expert on manufacturing processes, providing technical guidance and support
- Lead rapid Kaizen events to eliminate waste and improve manufacturing efficiency
- Coach and mentor associates on Lean manufacturing principles, including 5S, value-added vs. non-value-added work, the 8 wastes, one-piece flow, pull systems, and visual management
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and drive manufacturing excellence
- Diagnose and resolve complex manufacturing challenges to minimize disruption and improve output
- Deliver training to associates, including onboarding and implementation of new processes and procedures
- Monitor and evaluate associate performance, providing coaching to ensure achievement of daily production goals
- Assign and manage workloads to optimize team productivity and efficiency
- Accurately process inventory and material transactions within ERP systems to ensure alignment with manufacturing operations
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 1 year experience manufacturing experience in Food, Pharma and Industrial production settings. Must have experience working in a regulated environment (FDA, Gov military contracts).
OR
Associate’s degree with 5 years manufacturing experience in Food, Pharma and Industrial production settings. Must have experience working in a regulated environment (FDA, Gov military contracts).
OR
High school degree with 10 years manufacturing experience in Food, Pharma and Industrial production settings. Must have experience working in a regulated environment (FDA, Gov military contracts). Minimum 2 years team lead experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong leadership capability with experience managing teams, coaching performance, and developing associate capability.
Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to influence across functions and escalate effectively.
Proven ability to execute and sustain Daily Management Systems and drive cross-functional accountability.
Solid understanding of Lean manufacturing principles, including waste elimination, flow, pull systems, visual management, and continuous improvement.
Demonstrated experience in driving flow, identifying bottlenecks, and resolving operational constraints through structured problem-solving.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex manufacturing issues.
Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes and ability to function as a subject matter expert for assigned areas.
Experience leading Kaizen activities and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Effective resource and workload management skills in a dynamic manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of GMP, and knowledge of regulatory requirements, process validations, safe work practices, and ISO 9000 requirements.
Commitment to safety culture and adherence to EHS and housekeeping standards
Proficiency in SAP preferred.

The salary or hourly rate offered is determined by the role's specific requirements, including any applicable step rate pay system at the work location. Salary or hourly pay ranges are influenced by labor laws and Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) requirements applicable to the work location which may also affect the workplace arrangement of the role.
