Job Summary:

The Claim’s Representative will be responsible for processing claims and/or billing activities for all covered services provided by or to our members under their health insurance plans.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Processing of claims in accordance with established guidelines, policies and procedures;
  • Review claims to ensure accuracy and compliance with government regulations, HIPAA, and payer contract requirements prior to submission;
  • Communicating professionally with internal teams regarding claim status and questions;
  • Researching rejected claims and resubmitting corrected claim;
  • Analysis and maintenance of various reports to provide accurate information for management review;
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and workflow efficiencies;
  • Maintaining knowledge of coding conventions, reimbursement rules, regulatory requirements, and payer-specific guidelines;
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates degree preferred but not required;
  • Minimum one year experience in medical billing and/or claims processing;
  • Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to read and interpret revenue cycle policy and procedure manuals, as well as government regulations;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with both internal and external customers;
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Willingness to take on new challenges and learn new things;
