Our vision for Supply Chain at BD
The Supply Chain team are responsible to bringing billions of life-saving medical devices and diagnostics tests, high-tech instruments and equipment to customers and patients all over the world. Our aim is deliver these products at an affordable cost and of the highest quality.
About the role
As Team Lead Transport Planning, you will manage a team of 4–5 transport planners at our state-of-the-art European Distribution Center (EDC) in Temse. You will be the key link between our customer service teams across EMEA, warehouse operations, and contracted carriers.
Your role will be both strategic and hands-on 50% operational involvement in planning and 50% leadership and coordination. You will drive continuous improvement, represent the team to internal and external stakeholders, and ensure efficientl transportation performance and customer satisfaction.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Work at our state-of-the-art distribution center in Temse, where cutting-edge technology meets healthcare.
- Act as the intermediary between our customer service agents across the EMEA region, warehouse operations and contracted carriers.
- You’ll lead our mission to improve global health by tackling supply chain challenges, enhancing customer experience, and boosting warehouse and transport efficiency
- You’ll guide your team with a focus on excellence, improvement, and skill growth, while also representing them to internal and external partners
About you
- Experience in people management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong organizational skills and a hands-on, stress-resilient attitude.
- A passion for learning and a collaborative spirit.
- Experience in transport planning or logistics coordination.
- Ambition to grow into leadership roles within supply chain operations.
- Fluent in Dutch & Englih
