The Business Development Manager supports the Business Leader in spotting opportunities and strengthening the company’s market position. The role drives portfolio growth through strategic go-to-market execution, to expand BD’s coverage and market penetration.

Job Responsibilities:

I. Market Development & Strategic Planning

  • Lead market assessments to identify growth opportunities, unmet clinical needs, and competitive dynamics.

  • Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with country and regional priorities.

II. Operation Execution and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities

  • Partner with the sales team to drive demand generation activities and ensure alignment with strategic priorities.

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with hospital directors, department heads, key decision makers, and government healthcare authorities.

  • Lead reimbursement execution projects as assigned.

III. Distributor Management

  • Evaluate, appoint, and manage distributors to ensure adequate coverage, capability, and performance.

  • Conduct business reviews and market development planning with partners.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and operational excellence expectations.

IV. Reporting, Analytics, and Support to Business Leader

  • Track business performance and provide regular updates to management.

  • Lead to analyze market trends, competitor activities, pricing dynamics, and customer insights to generate strategic recommendations.

  • Develop dashboards, business reviews, and other administrative or analytical reports to support the Business Leader.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, medical technology, pharmacy, business, or related fields

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, distributor management, or commercial strategy in the medical device industry.

  • Proven track record of driving growth, managing complex accounts and projects, and executing strategic initiatives.

  • Strong understanding of Vietnam’s healthcare system, tender processes, reimbursement landscape, and hospital operations.

  • Experience working in an MNC environment with matrix reporting preferred.

Key Competencies

  • Solid experience in the medical consumables market with solid commercial acumen and strategic thinking.

  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, able to influence across all levels internally and externally.

  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to translate data into clear business insights.

  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement with high ethical standards.

  • Willing to travel frequently

  • Ethical, compliant, and customer-focused mindset

  • Excellent command of Vietnamese and English (written and spoken)
