About the role:

In this role you will be responsible for leading and optimizingtax compliance and automationprocesses, with a strong emphasis onU.S. federal and state income taxes.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Tax Compliance & FilingsOversee preparation and review of federal and state corporate income and franchise tax returns, including Form 1120, apportionment, filing methods, and state-specific modifications. Ensure timely and accurate compliance with all tax regulations.
• Tax Technology & Process ImprovementDrive automation initiatives and implement tools to streamline tax processes and enhance operational efficiency.
• Tax Research & Legislative AnalysisMonitor and analyze changes in U.S. federal and state tax laws, assess their impact on the company, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Audit & Risk ManagementSupport federal and state audits by preparing responses, quantifying risks, and coordinating with auditors.
• Tax Planning & TransactionsContribute to tax planning strategies, including the integration of acquisitions, dispositions, and other business initiatives.
• Tax Provision & ForecastingAssist in calculating effective tax rates and support the tax provision process for year-end, quarterly forecasts, budgets, and cash tax projections.
• Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with finance, legal, and external advisors to ensure alignment and accuracy in tax-related matters.
• Internal Controls & OptimizationMaintain and enhance internal controls related to tax compliance. Identify opportunities to reduce tax liabilities and improve reporting.

About you:

To excel in this position, the ideal candidate should showcase strong communication abilities, along with sharp analytical skills and a strong focus on detail. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple workflows, and balancing both team collaboration and independent tasks. The ability to understand complex processes and present effective automated solutions is key, as is a commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work.

Education and experience required:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• At least 6 years proven experience working in a corporate income tax environment with a large multinational company and/or public accounting firm
• Experience with automation tools like Alteryx, Co-pilot, and Power Automate
• Must be proficient working on federal and state corporate income tax compliance for a U.S. headquartered multinational company with an emphasis on process automation
• Proficient with ERP and book consolidations systems like FSM/BPC/SAP and Microsoft tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI etc.

Education and experience preferred:

• Masters Degree in taxation
• CPA
• Working knowledge with tax compliance software, Corptax and Corptax Office
