The Occupational Health Nurse is a licensed healthcare professional responsible for developing, interpreting, and administering employee health and wellness services and organizational safety programs. Responsibilities:
Health & Wellness Leadership:
Lead health and wellness initiatives for associates.
Coordinate industrial health, ergonomic, and wellness programs (e.g., Bloodborne Pathogen, Safety Committee Meetings, Safety Audits).
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure site compliance with OSHA, DOT, FMLA, ADA, and other relevant regulations.
Maintain OSHA 300 Log, Safety Index, and incident tracking databases.
Medical Program Administration:
Manage respiratory clearance and FIT testing programs.
Administer Hepatitis B immunization tracking and BBP program.
Oversee Workers’ Compensation and Physical Capacity Profile programs.
Consultation & Support:
Provide consultative guidance on occupational health issues.
Promote health maintenance and illness/injury prevention.
Collaborate with external healthcare providers and regulatory agencies.
Reporting & Metrics:
Gather and compute health and safety metrics for plant, regional, and corporate reporting.
Qualifications:
Licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
Experience in occupational health or related field preferred
Strong understanding of regulatory compliance (OSHA, ADA, FMLA)
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to uphold BD Values and maintain confidentiality
