About the role

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Customer Finance Manager EMEA to oversee our credit management operations across the EMEA region. The ideal candidate will manage credit risk and ensure the organization's financial stability through effective credit management practices.

In this role, you will lead the credit management strategy, evaluate creditworthiness, and manage the credit portfolio. You will develop policies, oversee collections, report on performance, and lead a high-performing team to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the overall credit management strategy in alignment with the company’s financial goals and risk appetite.
  • Risk Assessment: Be responsible for the evaluation of creditworthiness for new and existing customers, utilizing financial analysis, credit reports, and other relevant data.
  • Portfolio Management:Supervise and lead the company’s credit portfolio, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Policy Development: Implement credit policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance across all regions.
  • Collections Oversight:Own the collections process in EMA to ensure timely recovery of outstanding receivables and maintain healthy cash flow.
  • Reporting:Provide regular reports and insights on credit performance, risk exposure, and collections to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing credit & collection team, encouraging a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:Collaborate with sales, finance, legal, and other departments to resolve credit issues and support business growth.
  • Continuous Improvement:Identify and implement best practices and process improvements in credit management.
  • Project management:Actively participate in projects related to credit management & collections, including system implementations, process improvements and cross-functional initiatives across GBS to improve credit operations.
  • SOX & Compliance:Ensure all credit management activities comply with SOX requirements and other relevant regulations. Build and uphold internal controls to safeguard the company’s financial integrity.

About you

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in credit management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Skills: Exceptional analytical skills, strong leadership and communication abilities, and proficiency in credit management software and tools.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
  • Attributes: Strategic thinker, diligent, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
