Join Our Team as a Field Service Engineer at BD!Are you ready to be part of a dynamic regional team of Field Service Engineers working with the Nordic Service Manager? You will play a pivotal role in delivering top-notch service to our valued customers in the heavily regulated medical device industry.
We are ideally looking for an engineer to be based in the region of Västerbotten, preferably Umeå, but we are also open to candidates from Vaasa, Finland. In this field-based position, you will be expected to travel up to four times a week to meet customers, with frequent overnight stays included (up to two nights a week). You will work with innovative BD Kiestra Lab Automation Solutions.

Main responsibilities will include:
- Provide comprehensive technical support for BD Diagnostics instruments and systems, including installations, relocations, certifications, and repairs, ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
- Investigate, diagnose, and troubleshoot technical problems, both remotely and on-site, to deliver efficient and high-quality service.
- Plan and execute field corrective actions, upgrades, and preventive maintenance, adhering to regulatory instructions.
- Manage personal planning and administration, including reporting assignments and maintaining car stock as per guidelines for optimal operational efficiency.
- Call out and collaborate on problem-solving with the Field Service Manager when immediate solutions cannot be provided to customers.
- Explain service contracts to customers and maintain customer satisfaction through professionalism and customer-focused service.
About you:
- An engineering degree or proven experience in field service engineering.
- Experience in corrective and preventive maintenance.
- Fluency in English and either Swedish or Finnish, with proficiency in the other language considered a significant advantage.
- Adaptability to work with diverse product ranges and stay updated on new technologies.
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
- Competence in IT, a valid driver's license and commitment to travel.
