Job Description
As Platform Lead for Medical Affairs, you’ll drive safety, strategy, and scientific excellence across the product lifecycle, influencing decisions that impact millions of patients worldwide.
Your Mission
As a key member of the Prefillable Systems (PFS) cross-functional leadership team, you will:
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of 8 experts—including one manager—across Toxicology, Usability Engineering, Clinical Development, and Medical Safety, by defining objectives, prioritizing work with platform leadership, and ensuring resources and studies are delivered on time and within budget.
- Represent Medical Affairs in strategic discussions, including acquisitions, innovation opportunities, and business planning
- Shape and implement the Medical Affairs strategy and evidence generation plans across all products and lifecycle stages—including preclinical testing, toxicology, clinical development, and usability engineering
- Ensure alignment between medical strategy and product development needs, supporting launches with the lowest possible risk profile
- Collaborate with Health Economics & Outcome Research, R&D, Regulatory, and Marketing to synchronize evidence generation across functions
- Engage with Subject Matter Experts, customers, and internal collaborators to provide medical and scientific support
- Support scientific publication efforts in alignment with marketing strategy
- Oversee risk management activities, ensuring medical input throughout each development phase
- Approve claims, promotional materials, and Clinical Evaluation Reports for PFS products
- Lead Post Market Surveillance activities from a Medical Affairs perspective
- Manage medical and safety issues with support from the medical advisor
You’ll also represent Medical Affairs at the New Product Development Council and in innovation discussions for the platform.
Your Profile
- An advanced degree or equivalent experience in medicine, pharmacy, or life sciences is required
- You bring solid experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, or Pharmacovigilance, within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry
- Familiarity with Preclinical, Toxicology, Clinical, or Human Factors domains
- Knowledge of Design Controls (21 CFR Part 820) and ISO 14971 Risk Management
- You demonstrate a strategic mindset and excel in cross-functional collaboration across diverse teams and fields
- You have a proven track record in leading multidisciplinary teams and navigating complex, evolving environments with agility and clarity
- You’re driven by a deep commitment to patient outcomes, and you use science and innovation as tools for meaningful impact
Compensation range for this position : 90 000 to 120 000 EUR / year
