We are seeking an Applications Specialist, Diagnostic Solutions to join our team in Singapore.
You will be a subject matter technical expert in Singapore for the microbiology portfolio and a team player who can collaborate with different functions to achieve common business goals.
This role will provide pre and post-sales support to the sales team in Singapore.
What you'll do - Technical and Applications:
Serves as Singapore point of contact in technical related inquiries and product application issues.
Conduct clinical product trainings and product demos to customers and countries as needed; maintain record of trainings conducted
Provide applications / troubleshooting support for Microbiology portfolio (Instruments, reagents, informatics) - Blood Culture, IDAST, TB, Clinical Media, Industrial Microbiology, Lab Automation, Synapsys connectivity
Pre-sales product presentation for Total Microbiology solution, including Blood culture, IDAST, Lab Automation, Synapsys connectivity, Clinical media, Industrial microbiology, and TB.
Support in product complaints via applications troubleshooting, escalation to quality, and complaints closure as needed.
Develop training programs and training materials for Microbiology solution, and coordinate with region / global on global trainings
Be up to date with local and international guidelines for areas supporting clinical and pharmaceutical Microbiology diagnostics
Support country team in the submission of tenders by providing technical information where applicable.
Prepare and present in seminars / workshops as needed
Conduct workflow analysis and AIA (Automation Impact Analysis) for potential Kiestra lab automation customers
Support marketing in gathering of market intelligence on market / competitor trends to support development of marketing strategies and future products
What you'll bring:
Degree holder in Life Sciences, Major in Microbiology
Minimum 2-3-years of technical support experience in Medical Laboratory setting, Medical Device Business, or related industry
Strong technical and significant laboratory and/or scientific background in microbiology
Strong technical background in molecular diagnostics, cytology, and phlebotomy will be added advantage.
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Effective communication skills to clearly articulate technical and product information to both internal and external customers.
Strong teamwork and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities, make appointments, plan schedules and coordinate efforts with sales / marketing team, service and support teams.
Comfortable working in a cross functional dynamic team environment
Knowledge of information systems and IT architecture and development of custom interfaces with LIS will be added advantage.
