Job Overview
BD, a leading global medical technology company, is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will manage day-to-day manufacturing activities, ensuring goals are accomplished and effective communication occurs within the group and across all functions/shifts. You will provide leadership, employee career development, and coaching support to the manufacturing team, while overseeing material flows, manufacturing operations, and supervising various teams.
Responsibilities
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues associated with manufacturing operations
Provide training to associates, including onboarding and new procedures
Lead continuous improvement recommendations and solutions to support overall operational efficiency
Lead and support special projects
Coach associates on day-to-day activities and performance
Assign and distribute workloads
Demonstrate the ability to follow established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Follow all BD housekeeping and safety policies and procedures
Education
A degree-level qualification or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Work Environment
BD is a smoke-free campus. The use of electronic smoking devices, marijuana, or tobacco products is not allowed on BD property, grounds, or parking areas. False eyelashes, press-on fingernails, and jewelry are not permitted on the production floor, including dermals. Steel-toe and non-slip shoes are required for all associates while on the production floor for safety purposes.
