Seamless Transition: bringing military skills to corporate jobs

There are many reasons to begin and build your civilian career with BD, from the commitment, passion and pride you’ll share with your colleagues, to the transparency and clear leadership of our senior teams. You’ll also be well rewarded and looked after, be supported and encouraged to develop a long-lasting, meaningful career, and help shape a better future for all concerned.

At BD, we value veterans, as they bring a unique set of skills, discipline, and work ethic that's often honed by their military experience. Yet, we also recognize the challenges that veterans face when transitioning from a military to a civilian environment. Transitioning veterans often grapple with translating their military skills to civilian roles, adjusting to a less regimented work environment, and dealing with the possible effects of physical or psychological trauma. By offering supportive programs like Veterans Employee and Troop Support Associate Resource Group (VETS ARG), providing mentorship and guidance opportunities from Fellowship Program Management staff (consisting of mostly all veterans) and creating a welcoming company culture, BD helps veterans overcome these challenges and successfully integrate into the civilian workforce. We understand that these efforts not only benefit the veterans themselves, but also contribute significantly to the diversity, resilience, and overall strength of their teams.

Meet our associates who successfully transitioned from military to civilian workforce.
