The Associate Director of Program Management (sustaining portfolio) will be responsible for driving the successful execution of the sustaining portfolio within the IPD platform.. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering results through strong leadership, effective communication, and strategic planning skills. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the timely completion of critical initiatives while maintaining quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional teams to drive successful project delivery, including resource allocation, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and change control processes.
- Collaborate closely with senior leaders to define project scope, objectives, and timelines, aligning them with organizational goals and priorities.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets using appropriate tools and methodologies.
- Monitor progress against schedule and take corrective action as needed to address deviations or delays.
- Communicate effectively with team members, sponsors, and other stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment around project goals and status updates.
- Identify potential risks and issues early on, implementing mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project success.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry best practices, and internal policies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Document and report project milestones, outcomes, and lessons learned for future reference and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures and templates related to program management.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and advancements in project management techniques, sharing knowledge and insights within the organization.
- International & Domestic Travel expected Quarterly
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience (typically 8+ years) managing complex programs involving multiple stakeholders, resources, and deliverables.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, capable of influencing at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams towards common goals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges.
- Experience working in a regulated environment, preferably in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
