Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Production Clerk to support our manufacturing operations. In this role, you will ensure the accurate flow of materials, maintain inventory integrity, and support production efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Materials & Inventory Management

Allocate materials to work orders within the ERP system (JDE or similar)
Manage material replenishment using Kanban systems
Order materials through internal systems and databases
Perform cycle counts and support annual physical inventory
Monitor and resolve inventory discrepancies, including negative inventory

Operations & Reporting

Track daily production efficiency and performance metrics
Perform work order reconciliation to ensure accuracy
Maintain accurate records for inventory and production transactions (SAP/MES/JDE)
Provide updates and reporting to team leadership

Process Improvement & Coordination

Identify and escalate inventory or operational issues
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
Collaborate with production teams to ensure materials are available and processes run smoothly

Education & Experience

High School Diploma or GED required
Associate’s degree preferred
3–5 years of manufacturing experience in materials, inventory, or production support

Technical Skills

Experience with ERP systems (JDE preferred)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access
Understanding of inventory control, cycle counting, and work order processes

Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
Ability to communicate effectively across teams
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

Ability to stand, sit, bend, and move throughout the workday
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally
Exposure to typical manufacturing conditions, including moderate noise and odors
Possible exposure to manufacturing materials with appropriate safety precautions
