Position Summary

The Process Technologist in the Media Technology group will use their technical and scientific background to apply basic scientific principles to routine laboratory work and for gaining experience in the application and interpretation of the department procedures.  This associate will implement tasks, participate on teams, and ensure documentation compliance. Also responsible for investigation and resolution of Quality Issues, assist operations and manufacturing organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage the coordination of Quality Notification (QN) process.

• Lead projects with direction and support of functional manager.

• Assist in facilitating internal customer requests - i.e. pilots, stability studies, Validation, D/W and or special tests.

• Prepare various medias from scratch and perform various microbiology testing procedures.

• Other duties as assigned and required based on business needs.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• B.S. / B.A. in Life Sciences with at least 1 year experience (such as hands-on laboratory bench work, validation, process and/or quality control experience - within a manufacturing environment).

Knowledge and skills

• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, GMP.

• Experience with handling microbiology cultures and preparing media.

• Familiarity with Six Sigma and validation preferred.

• Office Suite especially Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Excellent team building skills.

• Ability to effectively solve problems.
