Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Shipment Track and Trace

  • Identify and prioritize critical shipments, including revenue-risk, back-order-risk, short-shelf-life and must-win SKUs.
  • Ensure all inbound and outbound milestone events for GAR critical shipments are complete.
  • Monitor shipments continuously across BD ERP systems and S&OE dashboards.
  • Track assigned worklists manually to backfill missing milestone events.

  • Share regular critical-shipment updates with GAR SCM leadership, the GDP team and Country Logistics teams.

2. Escalation Management

  • Prepare delayed-shipment lists and escalate to the source sites or service providers involved.
  • Follow up on each escalation and close it, recording outcomes and learnings.
  • Ask service providers for root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (RCA/CAPA) on recurring failures, such as rollovers, documentation errors and missed pickups.
  • Resolve shipment documentation and release issues, such as missing waybills, delivery-order holds and container release.
  • Work with Global Transportation to resolve operational and business issues.
  • Keep stakeholders informed on escalation status and resolution.

3. Freight Cost and Claims Support

  • Help resolve freight invoice exceptions and payment delays with the freight audit provider, carriers and country finance teams.
  • Coordinate cargo claims for damage, loss or temperature excursions, including documentation, deadlines and follow-up.

4. Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with Country Logistics teams, service providers, Global Transportation, Global Procurement, Planning, Quality and other stakeholders.
  • Help prepare for regional Logistics S&OE meetings and maintain the escalation contact directory.

5. Continuous Improvement and Reporting

  • Support Regional Transportation CI initiatives, including rollout of visibility tools and better data quality.
  • Build and maintain reports on shipment performance, revenue at risk and escalations.
  • Keep the regional task tracker up to date.

Qualifications

  • Preferred: Master's degree in Supply Chain Management.
  • Experience: 2–3 years in supply chain operations, logistics or transportation.

  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication, including updates to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong technical skills in building analytical reports (advanced Excel; Power BI preferred).
  • Working knowledge of ocean, air and road freight, Incoterms and shipment documentation.
  • Familiarity with SAP and transportation visibility platforms. Exposure to Power Automate or Power Apps is an advantage.
  • Understanding of temperature-controlled and dangerous-goods shipping is an advantage.
  • Able to manage several priorities and follow issues through to closure with little supervision.
  • Able to work with teams across countries and time zones.
