About the role
As QA platform Senior Director you will be responsible for ensuring end-to-end product quality and leading the quality direction for the assigned product line. This role involves:
- Acting as a strategic leader, setting plans to execute a vision for the QA Platform Unit Quality Leader (UQL) team, and defining proactive and reactive quality topics that impact business success.
- Providing data and trends to the business to enable informed decision-making.
- Collaborating with other business directors, both within and outside the quality function.
- Supporting and executing actions necessary for business success, including customer and internal initiatives.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Manage and lead end-to-end quality team (UQL team) focused on products in the platform
- Serving as an active member of the BDM-PS PFS|ADDS Platform Leadership team.
- Leverage a knowledge and understanding of the environment to develop actionable strategies for the PFS|ADDS Platform and for WW Quality.
- Demonstrate strong big-picture thinking; effectively integrates and balances long-term opportunities and challenges with day-to-day activities.
- Sponsor, lead or influence quality networks, associates and capital resources toward the effective promotion and alignment of organizational and platform goals to the company’s mission and vision.
- Proactively identify and work through obstacles that may hinder the UQL organization from focusing on and delivering their objectives.
- Ensure the quality organization is designed and resourced to fulfill its obligations and to comply with applicable regulations and procedures.
- Develop leadership abilities and proficiencies within the UQL team.
- Anticipate and effectively lead through the challenges of change and establish key stakeholder engagement focused on win-win solutions.
- Continuously evaluate progress toward strategic goals and objectives.
- Pursue and actively manage key stakeholder relationships that support the broader strategy.
- Engage resources (direct and indirect) appropriately to drive to results.
- Leverages and analyses relevant facts and evidences (vs. opinions) before making decisions.
- Makes decisions with Mid to long-term impacts for the organization.
About you
To excel in this role, you need a robust background in leadership (at least 5 years in people management) and the ability to develop and implement effective strategies. Typically, this role requires an advanced degree in science, engineering, or a related field, along with 10-15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and medical devices industry.
