It takes the imagination and passion of all of us—from design and engineering to the manufacturing and marketing of our billions of MedTech products per year—to look at the impossible and find transformative solutions that turn dreams into possibilities.

Job Description

Help hospitals transform medication management through BD Pyxis automated dispensing technology.

At BD, possibility isn’t an idea. It’s what we do. We are the Makers of Possible.

Through our Medication Management Solutions (MMS) business, BD helps hospitals improve medication safety, streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency through innovative medication management technology.

As an Account Manager - Pyxis, you'll drive the continued growth of BD Pyxis across NSW and ACT, partnering with public and private hospitals to deliver solutions that improve how medications are stored, managed and administered.

This is not a transactional sales role.

You'll be managing complex capital opportunities that often involve software, workflow redesign, change management and multi-year sales cycles. Success comes from understanding customer challenges, building compelling business cases and navigating complex stakeholder environments.

You'll engage a broad range of stakeholders including Pharmacy teams, Clinical Product Advisors (CPAs), Nursing leadership, Biomedical Engineering, IT, Procurement and Executive decision-makers.

If you enjoy solving operational challenges, influencing hospital decision-making and seeing large-scale projects through from concept to implementation, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.

Your Day-to-Day

You'll grow BD's Pyxis footprint across NSW/ACT by owning the full sales cycle, from opportunity identification through to implementation.

You will:

  • Drive capital equipment sales across the BD Pyxis portfolio
  • Build relationships across Pharmacy, Nursing, Clinical Product Advisors, Biomedical Engineering, IT and Procurement teams
  • Identify new opportunities and develop account growth strategies
  • Manage complex, long-cycle sales opportunities from initial engagement through to contract award
  • Lead demonstrations, workflow reviews and solution design discussions
  • Build financial and operational business cases to support customer decision-making
  • Navigate hospital procurement and capital approval processes
  • Collaborate with Clinical Specialists, Product teams and Project Managers throughout the customer journey
  • Monitor competitor activity and identify market opportunities
  • Maintain accurate opportunity management, forecasting and pipeline reporting
  • Attend industry conferences, workshops and customer events

This is a role where your ability to combine strategic selling, stakeholder engagement and business acumen will directly influence outcomes.

About You

You're a commercially driven sales professional who understands how to build relationships, influence decision-makers and manage complex healthcare sales opportunities.

Ideally, you'll bring previous capital equipment sales experience and understand how hospitals evaluate, fund and procure technology investments. You know how to navigate lengthy decision-making processes, build compelling business cases and maintain momentum across multiple stakeholders.

You'll bring:

  • Experience selling capital equipment into hospitals (strongly preferred)
  • Experience selling healthcare technology, software-enabled solutions, medical devices or complex healthcare systems
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen
  • Confidence engaging clinical, technical and executive stakeholders
  • Experience managing long sales cycles and multiple decision-makers
  • Ability to build compelling value propositions aligned to customer needs
  • Strong presentation, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Excellent organisational and pipeline management capability
  • A proactive, resilient and growth-focused mindset

Why BD?

BD is one of the world’s largest medical technology companies, but we’ve never lost our human touch.

With over 70,000 associates worldwide, we’re committed to your development. Here in ANZ, a high % of our roles are filled internally - we don’t just promise development, we deliver it.

You’ll join a high‑performing MMS team that values curiosity, collaboration and commercial excellence - and you’ll have real opportunities to grow across the business.

Because at BD, possibility isn’t just imagined - it’s made.

What's in It for You

  • Competitive salary + car allowance + incentive plan
  • Work with market-leading medication management technology
  • High visibility across major NSW and ACT hospital networks
  • Complex, strategic capital opportunities with significant customer impact
  • Strong support from Clinical, Project, Marketing and MMS leadership teams
  • Exposure to major hospital workflow and technology transformation projects
  • Career development opportunities within a global MedTech organisation
