We are looking for Project Manager for our team DS (Diagnostic Solutions)!The Customer Implementation Project Manager works in the EMEA Professional Services team within DS (Diagnostic Solutions) and its purpose is to successfully deliver customer implementations of DS complex solutions within the diagnostic market. The Customer Implementation Project Manager leads cross-functional project teams, drives the relationship with customers and manages all project execution aspects (internal and external).

Main Tasks & Responsibilities
Customer projects within DS are mostly focused on the implementation & installation of complex automated diagnostic solutions on customer site – such as (but not limited to) BD Integrated Microbiology Solutions, BD Kiestra Lab Automation or BD Molecular Diagnostics Solutions. Projects can have varying degrees of complexity, usually including one or more aspects of hardware, software, and/or network as part of scope, and are typically multi-dimensional, having complex boundaries that require in-depth lab industry knowledge.
The Customer Implementation Project Manager is leading all aspects of the project from its launch through successful completion of the handover to Lifecycle Management team; they may also support as a subject matter expert on all implementation related questions during the Sales Phase or for tenders.
The Customer Implementation Project Manager leads the execution of all activities related to the project and manages them on a day-to-day basis, according to the established standards & processes within BD.
The Customer Implementation Project Manager is responsible for aligning and managing all cross-functional activities to deliver the solution on time and on budget per contract while meeting agreed technical, operational, business and customer requirements. They are responsible within set boundaries for risk identification & mitigation, anticipation of potential issues and escalation to relevant stakeholders when required.
The Customer Implementation Project Manager leads the project planning & scheduling of activities, resources request process. They are responsible and oversees all preparations & arrangements prior to installation based on technical requirements (facilities & refurbishments, IT connectivity & network). They support the development & timely delivery of LIS-interface by coordinating subject matter experts and planning of required activities.
The Customer Implementation Project Manager is measured on their ability to lead the team in achieving schedule, functionality, stability and performance goals of the project.
The Customer Implementation Project Manager leads the cross-functional team of subject matter experts in the execution of specific activities within the project scope. This team is typically composed of 4-6 subject matter experts from applications, informatics & IT, technical service (hardware & software).
The Customer Implementation Project Manager leads all project-related communication with internal & external stakeholders, incl. accurate and timely reviews and reporting on progress, issues & risks.
The Customer Implementation Project Manager establishes trusting relationships with customers and key stakeholders (internal & external) who can support the successful execution of the project & remove roadblocks.
The Customer Implementation Project Manager contributes to the continuous improvement strategy of the Professional Services organization and the DS business unit by bringing his field expertise of project management, customers’ needs and expectations.
Requirements (Qualifications, Experience, Skills, Competencies)
Relevant master’s degree in a technical or scientific field
Preferably a project management certification on level PRINCE2 practitioner/PMI – PMP/IPMA level C or D.
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience within project management and ideally, in a customer facing role and/or people management position
Fluency in English and Italian is a must
Due to the nature of this function, willingness and ability to travel on a regular basis within the EMEA region is required (up to 50%)
Experience within the regulated environment of the medical device or pharmaceutical industry or first knowledge of IT systems and architecture, work processes of microbiological laboratories will be advantageous.
