Job Description Summary

As part of the Global Business Services (GBS) Quote to Cash (QTC) organization, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining high-quality master data supporting the end-to-end QTC process. Aligned with EMEA ambitions and guidelines, this role ensures the integrity, consistency, and accuracy of customer master data across BD’s infrastructure, enabling effective management of sales, order processing, billing, and revenue recognition.

Job Description

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with the Quote to Cash Data Owner to cleanse and validate the existing Customer Master Data database, resolving duplicates and inconsistencies.
  • Establishing and documenting data standards and validation rules aligned with QTC requirements.
  • Developing regional expertise by understanding local regulatory requirements and business practices related to Customer Master database in the medical field.
  • Owning the end-to-end lifecycle of Customer Master database post-cleansing, including creation, updates, and deactivation in line with governance policies.
  • Monitoring and continuously improving Customer Master Data database data quality across systems and processes.
  • Supporting system implementations and upgrades by ensuring Customer Master Data database requirements are captured, tested, and validated.
  • Contributing to the design and deployment of automation solutions and workflow enhancements based on clean and structured data.
  • Acting as a domain expert for Customer Master Data database across Commercial, CMDO, Finance, Legal, and IT teams.
  • Providing multi-functional guidance to ensure Customer Master Data database accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
  • Facilitating collaboration across departments to align data governance and business needs.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
  • Demonstrable experience applying data standards, performing root cause analysis, and driving continuous improvement in a cross-regional environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with master data systems such as SAP, Salesforce, or Oracle; certifications in data management platforms are a plus.
  • Strong English communication skills, with the ability to manage interested parties and collaborate across functions.
  • Desired qualifications include knowledge of QTC data governance, Lean Six Sigma certification, and familiarity with SOX compliance and revenue recognition standards.
