Job Overview
BD is seeking a talented Transparency Compliance Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting BD's Global Transparency Compliance Reporting function, ensuring data quality and accuracy for the US market. You will collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts across various businesses and functions, gaining valuable exposure to diverse processes, project management, systems, data analysis, and communication skills.


Responsibilities
•  Identify, extract, and research invoice and supporting documentation, collaborating with stakeholders to validate transaction details and purposes.
•  Remediate and format data for upload to the US Transparency data processing and reporting tool.
•  Maintain up-to-date knowledge of US transparency reporting requirements, including the US Sunshine Act, to assess data quality issues impacting reporting to state/government agencies.
•  Support coordination and preparation for existing Transparency or other compliance reporting requirements.
•  Gather vendor/customer master data from ERP systems, expense systems, and other major data sources for analytics.
•  Perform high-volume data validation and reconciliation activities to ensure accuracy and completeness.
•  Support additional processes approved by Corporate Business Transparency.
•  Maintain detailed desktop procedures and process documentation to ensure adherence to existing, new, and amended legislation.
•  Identify and prioritize gaps in business processes, data controls, systems, and provide recommendations to the Corporate Business Transparency team.
•  Carry out operational tasks, such as managing third-party vendor spend and cross-functional sub-certification activities.
•  Lead the review and escalation of manual data sources, including gathering educational material files.
•  Collaborate with other key shared services center operational teams to drive, enable, and enhance transparency activities for operational effectiveness and efficiency.


Education and Experience
Undergraduate/graduate degree plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant data analysis experience, or in lieu of a degree a minimum of 3 years relevant data analysis experience.


Skills
•  Comfortable with data, data mining, and ability to manipulate and work with different file types (flat, system downloads, etc.).
•  Strong interpersonal/communication skills, self-motivated, and ability to drive appropriate sense of urgency and accountability.
•  Demonstrated attention to detail.
•  Ability to work independently and appropriately escalate or follow-up for clarity.
•  Team player with a desire to learn and accept additional responsibilities.
•  Compliance mindset, ability to build strong partnerships and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders across the business to drive and execute Transparency requirements.
•  Experience with SAP (Release 4.0 or above) is preferred.
•  Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, with an emphasis on Excel.
