Our vision for “Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS)” at BD.
As a leading manufacturer and supplier of products that are used daily in healthcare, the MDS team provides a wide range of products for injection and infusion therapy, regional anesthesia, and closed medication management.
Reporting to the Nordics Country General Manager and a dotted line to the VP/GM MDS EMEA, we are now looking for our Country Business Leader CBL Nordics to replace an internal promotion. The CBL actively crafts local business strategy in alignment with a regional strategy. This position will be a full member of the Nordics Leadership Team and the MDS EMEA Leadership Team.
Job Description
Overview:
We are now looking for a Country Business Leader for our MDS Business Unit located close to one of our Nordics sites in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark to own the Nordic region (Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark and Iceland), which represents a turnover of approximately 70 million USD.
BD's Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS) division advances drug delivery through innovative infusion and related device solutions. As a multi-countries Business Leader, you actively participate in the progress of the MDS business strategy to adapt to the country's situation and needs and implement effective new Go-to-Market models to support the launch of new product lines, or grow profit for the business unit. You will be responsible for providing direct leadership to the MDS team in the country, including dedicated sales and support associates.
Scope:
Revenues Nordics: Approx. $70M.
Number of Associates: Approx 40 Associates with 6 direct reports.
Countries: Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Iceland.
Location: Stockholm, Sweden ideal (but could be open to someone close to one of our Nordics sites).
Other responsibilities include
Full P&L responsibility for the Medication Delivery Solutions business.
Being responsible for the development and implementation of marketing and sales planning. Chip into regional market development activities.
Leads and crafts the business strategy and implementation.
Going above and beyond in People Management and Talent Development that drives the ongoing success of the business, demonstrating Servant Leadership. Developing personal and team succession plans and successors.
Identifies and develops new local and regional business opportunities to accelerate and sustain ongoing sales growth.
Ensuring the development of ambitious but achievable operating plans and budgets for MDS Nordics.
Maintains high-level customer interfacing on the daily basis.
About you
The new joiner will need to bring a consistent record in the strategic and operational leadership of a business unit in the medical device and healthcare sector for a large business revenue. Additionally, you should have experience within global, corporate environments and have a successful track record navigating a global matrix.
As a Business Manager, you are familiar with the capital sales strategy on a medical BU by being in charge of full P&L accountability at a regional level, developing/proposing new GTMs and tenders management. The ideal candidate should be a strong sales teams leader, aligned with the BD servant leadership approach, willing to develop into a general management position in the future.
Your other attributes include:
Experience in implementing the annual business plan.
Driving local teams to deliver results, skill improvements, and ongoing organizational change.
Ability and willingness to undertake regular travel and international trips when required.
Proficiency in English.
