Job Description

Overview

The Finance Manager - Revenue & Incentive Compensation provides financial leadership and decision support to the Peripheral Intervention US Commercial organization, serving as the primary Finance partner to the VP of US Sales. The role owns Finance business partnership for revenue and gross-profit planning, forecasting, performance management, sales reporting, revenue close, and incentive-compensation oversight.


The Finance Manager develops a strong understanding of underlying business drivers, communicates risks and opportunities, represents Finance in Integrated Business Planning discussions, and ensures accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance. The role also reviews and approves key accounting and control activities and leads the Senior Financial Analyst responsible for recurring reporting, reconciliations, journal entries, commission accruals, and related financial processes.


The primary responsibilities of this role are:


Financial Planning & Business Partnership

  • Own Finance business partnership for Revenue and Standard Gross Profit planning across ASR, budget, projection, and forecast cycles.
  • Lead planning timelines, understand business inputs and financial drivers, maintain critical planning files, and communicate risks and opportunities to leadership.
  • Maintains financial planning models, develops and monitors forecasts, trends, and supports performance management analysis and commentary.
  • Understands budgeting, planning, and operational data to run reports and develop ad hoc analyses using Excel and standardized planning tools such as Power BI.
  • Supports Incentive Compensation, Sales, and HR during the annual incentive compensation process, including reconciling and reviewing performance results and payouts.

Revenue Close, Compliance & Controls

  • Own the monthly revenue close, including finalizing revenue actuals, reviewing system tie-outs, resolving discrepancies, and explaining key business drivers and variances.
  • Assist with audit and tax requests as needed.
  • Maintain current knowledge of and ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures, accounting standards, state and federal regulations, GAAP, and internal controls.

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Manage, coach, and develop the Senior Financial Analyst, ensuring consistent execution of reporting, commission processes, operating procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Ad hoc projects as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of relevant finance business partner experience with a focus on planning, budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting required
  • 1+ years of direct or indirect leadership experience
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills for creating insightful and actionable reporting and analysis 
  • Ability to go beyond the numbers, discern trends, determine the root cause of variances, and consider the broad business implications in helping identify opportunities and improve performance 
  • Knowledge of accounting policies and procedures – GAAP/IFRS
  • Experience with ERP Systems, budgeting and reporting tools
  • Strong ability to communicate well with all levels of management; must be effective in converting data into useful information and communicating that information through concise commentary 
  • Comfortable communicating remotely (i.e. via telephone, videoconference or web meeting) 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Focus of bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or other business-related field of study
  • Experience with SAP or JDE
  • Experience with Microsoft Access and SQL
